2019- Making Moves
HAPPY NEW YEAR 💃💓🎆🎉🎊🍻
It feels wonderful to experience a new year, I like to see it as a chance to make better choices and create a better tomorrow. Last year my strength was tested in too many ways, this year will be better and I will be ready. So, here’s to another year filled with chances to live right and to create your own path. Entered 2019, the lightest I had been in months- no anger, no pain, no worry . Just MOTIVATION
If I was, to sum up, 2018 in a song it would be “Made a way” by Travis Greene, God pulled through for me last year in more ways than I can even begin to describe. My 2019 will be nothing less than a testimony, a greater testimony, this year has been dedicated to God, I need his hands to continuously be in my life.
Well…
I am beginning my 2019 knowing DELAY IS NOT DENIAL. My mood this has to be – I CAN’T COME AND KILL MYSELF.
2019 for me is going to be the year I actually take my business serious, I have laid the groundwork to get multiple sources of income set up since 2017, but with school and other responsibilities, I neglected my babies. This year just feels right to expand and flourish.
If you read this blog, you’ll know I am an advocate of self-development and trying different things. Nothing wrong in being the Jack of all trades, here I am an International Relations major, co-running a Radio station, an amateur photographer, business owner, blogger, baker, event planner and doing so much. Honestly, these skills I’ve developed in the course of 2 years are doing more for me than classroom learning.
This year, I’m actually doing the most. I just sent an email asking for an internship opportunity at one of my favorite Ghanaian photography firms. I’m planning an event that I am sure will drain me physically, financially and mentally, Radio Webster has to break records this year. I have 2 business plans on the drawing board I have no capital to push ATM, but somehow, I know I will get them up before the second quarter of 2019 ends.
This 👐, This is what I love, the thrill, the journey just going not fully knowing if these plans will hold but still believing in them either ways. This is my spark, this somehow fuels my faith and keeps me going. How am I going to get all these huge dreams into reality? IDK
I can’t describe it, you love something and it keeps you up at night, the adrenaline keeps you going, the vision just keeps your heart at ease and you just know you can do it. FIND WHAT YOU LOVE AND PERFECT IT.
Let your hands and your whole being give something life. Nobody understands what you love like you, the truth is many might even discourage you or tag it as “overreaching”, it’s OK to “overachieve”. Personally, I look forward to the stress, to looking forward to coming back home to resting and not being able to cause my dreams be chasing me.
2019 is here, you have to break out of that comfort zone, do not let fear limit your goals. The world needs you and the service you can render. School resumes in about a week and then you realize you have to juggle that too and your other responsibilities, but in the real world, you can rarely afford to push responsibilities away, so start now practice time management and multi-tasking.
I’m sure my non-Ghanaian readers are wondering what is happening with my blog banner. Just think of them as an important addition to the wonderful things I learn every day about Ghana. One of these days I’ll actually write about them. This year I will blog more often, last year I doubt I had up to 30 blog posts in all, in 2019 I won’t promise 30 posts, but I will make sure my content in each and every post is worth over 40 posts. Giving you the hard facts, cheats to help students and also entrepreneurs (as I learn) , and whatever random stuff pops up.
