The HATE we give

 .

There is a war, a war that has been crafted in the hearts and minds of men. A war that thrives in the lives of those who seek to destroy each other in the pursuit of RELIGION.

Religion is supposed to be a pursuit followed with great devotion, a source of clarity and personal faith, but most times we forget religion is not an assurance of morality. Religion, as we find has often been misquoted, radicalized, misinterpreted, accepted and its bitter grasp lasting for a lifetime.

This ideological war has been waged for years, leaving in its path an ever-flowing stream of hatred and many cases death. The ironic part of all this is most religions preach the ultimate rules Love, Peace, and Humanity.

Coming from a personal point, most of the older generation Christians and Muslims have been at this for a long time. I was in a small gathering about two months ago and someone got a WhatsApp broadcast message (you know those annoying messages our parents always believe…. yea that one). It was saying something about how a group of Muslims was planning to use one of the state stadiums for a kind of regional meeting or prayer, talking about how Christian should pray against them. The discussions that followed after were the kind that doesn’t leave your heart or your mind, some people saying “why would the state let them do that”, some saying” the government wants to Islamize the state and gradually the whole country”, “they want to plant bombs in the city, these terrorists” ………So much talk

I was just there wondering how It’s only Okay for Christians to hold crusades, prayers, convection's at these locations, to constantly blast their speakers Sunday-Sunday even at odd hours of the day because they are somehow the only ones doing it for the best interest of the country??? Also forgetting terrorism is not limited to one religion or race. Lol, the audacity…….

I wonder why it’s so hard to practice our religion without holding a grudge against another’s belief. Unprovoked, people just sit down and hate on each other because of religion? WONDERFUL
The million-dollar question as humans should be WHO ARE WE TO ASSUME WE REALLY KNOW ALL THAT GOD WANTS?

Our generation needs to end this mentality, we are all human, we cannot all be the same but we can try to live with our differences.

By a lazy writer that just wanted to get stuff off her mind.
